Mini LDX are designed for extreme casting distance and cut through the wind quite well. Ryan designed these during a year when big fish were on pretty small bait and were too far out to reach with anything small. These cast like a bullet. Fish them like a pencil popper but stop the retrieve periodically and allow them to sink a few feet. Then bring them back up to the surface and keep working them. There are other ways to work them as well - even steady straight retrieve works at times.
