Baby Bunker
Custom Saltwater Flies by Captain Charles Crue
Baby Bunker
This fly imitates juvenile menhaden that typically show up in late August.
It is effective when fishing inshore near marshes as the tide drops.
About Charlie:
Captain Crue founded Channel Edge Charters in 1996. His guide specialty was fly fishing for striped bass and bluefish on the Merrimack River and Plum Island inshore waters. After providing purchased flies for a short time he began tying his own versions of the most successful flies for his clients to use during his charters. This evolved into creating many of his own fly patterns, some of which are included in fly tying books and published articles.
