The Senior Needlefish is a slow sinking needlefish  The flared tail gives the plug a little wiggle action.  It is weighted for long casts.

Quickly becaming a legend on Block Island and surrounding areas these needle have landed many a big  fish.  They have a slow to moderate sink rate with tail downward.  Retrieving the plug slowly will allow it to glide right under the surface, while twitching the rod tip every 5 or 10 seconds. Or let it drop to the bottom and twitch the rod to imitate a sand eel hatching.  They also can be used on the surface like a pencil popper
