With the opening day of Tautog season yesterday in a few states south of us we thought we might have a tog sale. (not a tag sale!!) We don't get Tautog around here but we have a lot of fishermen from the area that go south of us to fish for them. So we like to carry a few things to have in stock for our locals. The Mustad Tog Tamer Jig Head is build on the 32824NP-BN 60˚ Jig Hook and feature holographic finish with 3D eyes giving them a very realistic appearance in the water. Made specially for targeting Tautog/Blackfish. They love hanging around rock piles, ledges and mussel beds in 20-30-foot of water. Baiting with crab is a popular and effective way to connect with them. One effective technique is dragging it slowly over the rough seabed searching inch-by-inch. The 2X extra heavy wire hook is strong enough handle trophy fish. They also feature Mustad’s Opti Angle Needle hook point for faster hook sets and maximum durability.
